Gahana Kusuma Kunja Majhe ~

Time and again I have confessed that when it comes to creativity, I am heavily influenced by Rabindranath.

A few days ago, somebody hummed the lines in front of me, and I kept on humming the lines since then - while working, while watching ISL, while reading a book, while taking shower and even while talking to somebody.

And here is my interpretation of the lines -

"Aao aao sajani brindo, Heraba sakhee sreee govinda "

 

Technically, this is my first attempt of doing something with only line drawing. I call it "Sahaj path"  painting, not sure whats the actual name is. I found expressing something with lines only - no color, no shades - is quite challenging. the margin panel being the most difficult task. I struggled with doing symmetric drawing free hand, also was lacking idea, somehow managed with an easy one. The ink pen I used for this panting, is not very suitable for finer lines - I need to buy another.

Overall, I am happy with the outcome of the first attempt, but definitely hope to improve in subsequent ones.
