New Gear !

Yes, Yes! I have got new gear for my painting. 

I had to go near College Street for some work and could not resist the temptation of having a sneak peek at a local stationery stop. This apparently shabby looking shop was a treasure island. Whatever I was saying, they had that in stock. Oh dear! Nothing can beat the pleasure of trying many colors and pencils and pens and buying the ones you liked. I felt like a little school girl. I tried the dark green pencil from all 7/8 varieties of color sets they showed me, and in that attempt I actually ended up drawing an interesting tree on their trial paper - much to the shop-keeper's amusement and amazement. "Didi, apni ki artist naki? " (Are you an artist, madam?") - the shop-keeper asked and embarrassed, I replied, "no no , just pastime!". 

 

I bought a copy, two fine liners, a set of color pencils and glass markers of many colors. The plan is to use this copy only for black and white pencil sketches, line drawing and color pencil drawing.Water color - which is so far my favorite form of media, will not compete for a place in this copy. Lets see, how the plan goes.
